About the Event

She was just shy of five feet tall, all of 100 pounds, a part-time waitress and amateur poet from a poor Dallas home who was bored with life and wanted something more. He was a fast-talking, small-time thief from a similarly destitute Dallas family who hated poverty and wanted to make a name for himself. This tour is about Bonnie and Clyde and how they became the most notorious crime couple in American history. —

What to Expect..

How these two individuals become America's most beloved mass murderers and bonified media stars is a story that cultural historians, biographers, and filmmakers have been chewing on for decades. It's about journalism, the economy, and especially the rise of images — both still and moving.

Our tour chronicles the bloody rise and violent fall of the iconic couple of infamous criminals at the height of the Great Depression. As we navigate the historical events surrounding both of their lives, we examine the roles played by poverty, the authorities, and the thirsty media in the making of the notorious Depression-era outlaws.

We have listed the points of interest we cover during the tour's program and the options available to book the tour. Both tour options cover the same program; the guided version includes round-trip transposition and a professional-certified tour guide. The self-guided tour is based on prerecorded narration and an interactive map that allows you to follow the storyline at your own pace.

The tour is based on historical events but is not intended to be a history lesson; the program aims to entertain our guests and shed light on Bonnie and Clyde's short lives and the elements that contributed to their tragic destiny.
